Terry Greene is a painter living and working at Cross Roads, near Keighley. He studied at Bradford College, School of Art, graduating in 1988 with a BA in Art & Design, with a focus on fine art in his final year. He later gained a Masters degree in Art Theory and Practice from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1999.
Terry’s work is currently engaged in an exploration of the duality of paint; as structure (the historically located medium of high art); and as agency (in its natural fluid state).

Interviewed in 2012 for the Painters’ Table website, Terry described the decision making process involved in his work:
Just in the physical act, the decision making process, applying paint upon a previously worked surface and I’m immediately lost in the practice, the search and personal discovery which takes place. I think like most artists I like to push at any parameters from time to time, to explore some new territory and surprise myself. Each new painting seems to me to offer always new possibilities.
Terry is a member of Contemporary British Painters CBP and his work can be found in private art collections, both in the UK and abroad, and has been shown at exhibitions, including CROSS SECTION/03, and ‘How We Got to Now’, both at the dalla Rosa Gallery, London; Writhe & Jerk , Transition Gallery, London; About Painting, Castlefield Gallery, Manchester; and at the 30 x 30 x 34 Contemporary British Artists exhibition 2016/17 in London.
