Dr. Aïcha Alexandra Bahij : Aicha works at the University of Bradford and is now bringing her artwork into her research. Aicha delivers lectures on how art can be used as a means of:
- Exploring identities/labels and the perceptions attached to them
- Supporting community engagement and policy development
- Decolonising social life though social cohesion, diversity and inclusivity.
She is currently working on an arts-based research project funded by the University of Bradford called ‘The Colour and the Space’. The aim of this project is to provide a platform through which students and staff who identify as Muslim and female will use art to tell their stories and share their experiences of working, studying and socialising at the University of Bradford.
