Kate Stewart lives in Bradford and paints with watercolour onto transparent fabric, producing work that changes with the light reflected on or through it. She is a self-taught artist and has been painted and sewn all her life. She has exhibited her work locally, including solo exhibitions in South Square Gallery, Bradford and at the Manningham Mills Community Centre, Bradford.

The Millinery Works Gallery in London invited Kate and Jane Fielder to show 5 pieces of work each during February 2016 at their Contemporary British Exhibition. Kate is also a member of the Aire Valley Arts Group.
