Working from her Haworth home, artist, Leigh Shepherd, creates a range of jewellery, fashion accessories and mixed media items using resin art tiles and silk screened paper. Leigh often uses familiar objects recreated, or upcycled, in new art forms, e.g. earrings from coins, pendants from Scrabble tiles and brooches from draughts and dominoes.

Leigh graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with an honours degree in Fine Art, then continued on to a post-graduate (PGCE) teacher training course. She worked as a primary school teacher and learning support manager for over eight years before launching out as as a freelance professional artist.
Leigh’s work has been selected and shown by fairs and galleries across the UK, including the Mercer Art Gallery, Harrogate, Saltaire Arts Trail, Ilkley Designer Maker Fair, and the British Craft Trade Fair.
