Morwenna Catt is a multi-media artist and arts consultant. Her work includes painting, drawing, sculpture, textile art, light boxes, mural, carnival float and public installation art.

Morwenna studied for a BA Art and Design at Bradford College School of Art, then for a Masters Degree in Fine Art at Leeds Metropolitan University, graduating from Leeds in 2000. She has a studio at the South Square Art Centre in Thornton.
She has exhibited her work in Britain and overseas, including the the Scope Art Fair and at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, Galerija Skuc in Ljubljana, and ‘Jack the Pelican Presents’ gallery in New York.
Solo exhibitions between 2005 – 2016 included venues at Shoreditch Town Hall Gallery and Hoxton Square Gallery, London, University Gallery, New York, University of Bradford, Dean Clough Galleries, Halifax, the Rheged Gallery, Cumbria, and Yarra Sculpture Gallery, Melbourne, Australia.

Morwenna has worked as a resident artist for the Bronte Birthplace in Thornton, Bronte Parsonage Museum, Haworth, Preston Park Museum in Stockton, and for English Heritage.
Her work has been commissioned in the Bradford area, notably the public ‘Shipley Shopper’ sheep sculpture in Shipley Town Centre, 2008 and the commissioned by Bradford Council to commemorate the Queens Jubilee in 2012 leading to ‘The Threads that Bind Us’, a large embroidered textile hanging by Morwenna Catt and Lucas Stephens, unveiled October 2013, in the Banqueting Hall at Bradford City Hall. Morwenna’s textile sculpture, ‘Chicken: the Sky is Falling’, was featured in the 2015 Bradford Open art exhibition at Cartwright Hall. In 2016, Morwenna was commissioned by The Rheged Gallery, Penrith, Cumbria to produce a textile installation as part of the commemorations for World War One – see ‘Sweethearts and Sandbags’ images, above.
