Sculptural and decorative ceramics artist, and photographer, Kath Bonson lives in the Cullingworth area of Bradford. Kath graduated from Bradford College in 2010 with a first class honours in Fine Art and in the same year was awarded Licentiate Membership, with Merit, by the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
The terrain and landscape of the Bradford and surrounding areas has had an influence on Kath’s work, both in terms of form, textures and colour.
Her work has been exhibited in London with the Society of Designer Craftsmen and at the Designer Crafts at the Mall gallery, as well as at galleries in other venues around Britain, including at the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery in Stoke on Trent and at the Bradford Open, Cartwright Hall, Bradford. She is a member of the Northern Potters Association.
Whilst ceramics is currently her primary focus, Kath’s photography has also gained her professional recognition. In 2014 she was awarded a Certificate of Merit in the annual Yorkshire Photographic Union Exhibition for her photograph ‘Diving In’.
