HIBBERT, Sonje: ‘My Art’

Sonje Hibbert, landscape

‘I’m a self-confessed workaholic and creative connoisseur my artistic oeuvre spans nearly three decades, in effect the narrative of my life’s tumultuous trajectory so far. Extensive travel abroad and a passion for wild emotive landscapes, such as the South West and West Yorkshire wind-swept moors, has led to a much needed anchor on the cobbles of windy and world famous Haworth. The family roots are in Bradford and East Lancashire so the persuasion wasn’t hard to find! ‘

‘Werxzovart Studio Gallery originally established in 1996 in Cornwall, relocated to Haworth in 2013, and is the manifestation of my national and international success as an artist so far. The gallery only sells my work and tends to be large scale, even though some smaller items are available. Mediums used are ceramic, steel and acrylic. You will find a range of contemporary ceramic vessels, statement pieces, often architectural in stature along side dramatic large scale landscape paintings of local and not so local moors. All highly emotive, all charged with passion, all collectable pieces of art. ‘
